Please let me out!

posted by Babs on Wednesday, 6 January 2010

We are knee deep in snow here.  At least when you are the height of Mo and I, it’s knee deep.  It looks beautiful, though I am aware it has brought with it absolute mayhem on the roads, railways and airports.  It looks beautiful here in Yorkshire.  I am so sad because I would have loved to go out with my camera, especially today.  Today the sky was blue and the sun was shining on the snow laden trees.

Unfortunately I am feeling very ill at the moment.  All together, say Ahhhh, or as you from over the pond say, Awe.  I have a bad case of flu and so will have to make do with these few shots.

That looks like fun.  Wadda ya mean it’s too deep?

IKnow itsDeep

Oh pleeease let me out mum

LetMeOut

OK, I agree – It’s deep

OK itsDeep

Brrrr, my feet are cold. Let me in … quick!

feetAreCold

I thought this post would give me a few days grace, until I feel a bit better, or at least until I could type more than one word without a coughing fit!

I might just add that it got a lot deeper than that before the day was out, and that none of the cats have asked to go out today!

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! (said in thick Midwestern accent)

I’m sorry you’re feeling poorly, Babs. But these are beautiful photos. I would love to let Gus or Pru outside to romp in the snow (We’re s’posed to get at least 9 inches tonight), but I think they’d freak out.

Hope you feel lots better tomorrow.

Sukie! You should listen to your mum when she tells you it’s too cold and too deep! Now go lie down on her lap in a nice little ball and make her feel all better ‘cuz she’s feeling so bad. Git! Git goin’!

I’m guessing that was a very short trip outside. Way too cold for that little cutie pie.

You feel better soon Babs, so you can enjoy the weather that winter brings. Big hug to you both and scritches for the cutie pie. :)

Eh ? (said in a Canadian accent)

I found that you were being pounded with snow when Claire posted a picture on Frapto today: http://www.frapto.com/claire-pitt/2010/01/05/frapto-66-bloody-snow/

It’s beautiful out there but – Keep Warm Babs !

I was thinking of you and Mo(and my nephew and his wife who live outside London) when I heard the news of all the snow and those stranded in cars… I wish we could send you some of our famous Canuck snow-clearers!

I am so sorry you are ill; take it easy, take care and make sure you see someone if you are not better soon!

We are getting more snow here too; but for Winnipeg, that’s normal! Take care,

I’m so sorry to hear you have flu, Babs. Sending warm hugs and hoping you feel better very soon. Stay indoors and drink lots, take vitamin C, all the usual stuff. Is Mo OK?

I have the sniffles .. hopefully it won’t turn into anything worse!

What a beautiful “face”! Imagine, how much he wants to go out! We are here under the flood of rains but our cat, a tween of yours, does not come even to eat. The temperature is high and the cats have just thoughts about love only.

I wish, you feel better, at least good enough to enjoy the beautiful snow.

Oh my goodness! You have more snow than we do. I know it’s hard on youse where it isn’t normal. I’m especially sorry you are so sick. I hope today finds you on the upswing, my dear. Do stay warm.

Love the images, especially the finale!

Oh no! I hope you’re better soon, Babs! The flu is lousy! At least it’s not, though, like it’s really gorgeous and warm and you’re missing it for the illness. Snow days give you that added excuse to relax and recuperate!

The cat is beautiful; reminds me of one I had for 14 years until 2002…loved her dearly.

Don’t worry, it shall come to pass. Just take your rest and maybe a good book would keep your mind away from the cold. :-)
