Look what we got!
How could we, in the UK, have this much snow and me not write a post about it? It’s the most snow we’ve had in many years, and I have missed it so much. When I was young we often had heavy snow and had great fun with snowball fights and building snowmen. Sadly, in more recent years it has been very thin on the ground – literally! France has kindly sent us barrel loads of it, and there’s more to come!
I know you people in Canada and parts of America are probably bored with snow, but please humour me, this is exiting for Mo and I. Mo took this photo of our car yesterday and it continued snowing all day and night.
She took these others today. I’m a bit upset though. I couldn’t go out in it because I wasn’t well enough but I’ll make sure I go out tomorrow!
I’ll try not to bore you with any more snow posts, honest.

It’s beautiful and you can have it. Not a snow person at all. Just enjoy.
Have a terrific day.

Hmmphhh! As usual it missed us. We wanted some to play in. All around us got snow and a few miles away on the moors there was nine inches. What did we get? A measly quarter inch!!!

It does not snow much in North Carolina, where I live, which is a good thing as far as I’m concerned. I already shared a picture of a relatively rare snow event a while back. Now they are telling us we may have a repeat tomorrow. I could do without it.
Anyway, enjoy your bit of snow. Just be careful.

Sandee: I know snow isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. I don’t know why I love it so. Perhaps because we don’t get it too often, and it brings back childhood memories
Eric & Flynn: Oh what a shame! We have about nine inches too. Sukie has been out in it but not the other two
Lee: We will be very careful. We are not as brave on slippery surfaces now days. Mo has already slipped on her backside

I was thinking of asking your about the snow and here you are with a post !
Beautiful pictures ! And O look – Tobogganing ! In the UK !
I slipped on ice a few years ago and I really got knocked cold. I only came to my senses under the CT Scan machine !
So Yea ! Be Careful !

Hey, Babs, there is nothing wrong with getting a little excited about snow. It’s fun, pretty, and brings back childhood memories, so you just have a blast while it lasts.
Of course, there is the traffic nightmares and risk of car damage you have to endure, but once in a while, why not?

Whoa! Now that’s snow. I haven’t seen a winter like that since I was a little kid. We live for a short time in Montana, and thee snow was white and deep.
Keep warm.
Happy trails.

Hey, it’s NOT boring looking at other people’s snow. It’s actually quite beautiful. And at least we don’t have to shovel any at the moment. I’m sure tomorrow will be another story.

Not boring me one bit. Sometimes I really miss the snow. These are grand. I especially love the sledders. I miss watching my grand kids when they are sledding.
Of course the two oldest only ski and snow board you know? After all, they are teens now! wink wink and a lol!!
Hugs and happy day Babs!:-)

Talk about camouflage, the car is well camouflaged; there is no way any plane can spot it from the top.
It certainly looked like the kids were having lots of fun.

Jaffer: We are very careful. If it’s too icy we won’t go out in it. Fancy knocking yourself out cold!
Matt: Yes it certainly does make you feel like a big kid. It’s thawing at the moment but we expect more tonight.
Swubird: Strangely, it’s not very cold. It’s 4c today, but we’ll see what tomorrow brings
Lola: Tomorrow will be another day for us too. We are expecting as lot more!
Lauren: Oh my word! I totally forgot the licence plate. Thanks for pointing it out. It’s all blurred now
That photo is taken just around the corner to our house.
Shinade: Oh yes only children and dads can sled. It’s snowboarding and skiing for ‘cool’ teenagers
June: I agree it’s much better to look at. I was feeling OK yesterday, but not so good today, so I still haven’t gone out in it.
BK: Yes everything is well camouflaged from above! We live in a very hilly area so sledding can be done everywhere. There were lots of families out.
Maria: Yes, it hasn’t been without bringing it’s problems with schools and transport

I don’t like the snow! It looks very pretty, but when you get to my age it’s safer and warmer to stay indoor. My O.H. is a pain in the butt as he has a job keeping perpendicular on dry ground. He needs to keep proving himself by clearing paths and putting bins out etc. So far, so good, but I die every time he ventures out! He must be the only man who can splt his head open whilst sleeping in bed! So much blood on his pillow today that I’ve had to throw the pillow away. AND it was a ‘memory’ pillow! Roll on the summer!

Granny Grimble: I know that many don’t like it, and even we are sometimes nervous of slipping. I haven’t been out in it myself, but I would have liked to. You’d better pad all around the bed so he doesn’t hit his head again!
Sean: Ah but I only like it because we have so little. Not sure I would like it all winter long

Very pretty, indeed! I live in the Carolinas (USA) and we had our largest snow in the five years we lived here a few weeks back. Melted after a few days, but it was fun and very nice to look at.
Enjoy it while you got it because it’ll be gone before you know it!

Ah, the snow! We had some too! It often misses us, but not this time. The poor Pirate was wheezing on his walk this morning, partly the cold air, but partly the effort of walking through the stuff, but he didn’t want to give up. We had to force him to turn around. He’s game, I’ll give him that!
It was very pretty, but is already slush. Now, if it freezes, we’ll be in trouble.
I love your picture of the kids playing in the snow!

Hi Babs, Great to meet you (guess it was at SlogBite)!
Remember; you don’t have to look only to Canada and (other) parts of America to find the snowy Winter Wonder Land – look to Norway
as you have seen on my last posts (thanks for the visit and comment!).
Great to see you’ve got some too and from the news I also heard it come a bit surprisingly. Good to see you’re able to take advantage and have fun in the snow too

Linda Socha: Hi and welcome. I certainly will pop over.
Awake: How about that! It is more snow than we’ve had for many years
Liudmila: Yes, It is so pretty. Especially when it’s falling.
Jay: Poor Pirate. They will go on and on if we let them. Yes, when the snow melts and then freezes, staying in is a good idea!
Jeff: Yes, they all seem to have sleds hidden away
I keep meaning to take a little video of where I live, but never do!
Max: Thank you. It was a surprise to me. Mel’s description almost made me blush ;O) This sort of winter I quite like, it’s the rain and wind I hate.
Staciesmadness: Ha ha! That made me laugh

I live in one of the coldest states in America and also of the states to be always frequented by snowstorms. The exact word is not “bored” but “sickened” with snow. It’s really sickening now. We still have more to come.
