My life is grand!

posted by Babs on Monday, 16 February 2009

I Was given this award by Kat at Candles, Crafts and Whatnot I liked the sentiment so decided to post this one.
grand

I must list 5 reasons why I think my life is “grand” I am supposed to pass it on, but any of you that would like to do it are welcome.

I think my life is grand because:

1. I have everything I need to have a happy life, but still have things to hope for.

2. I have a lot of hobbies to keep my mind active, like playing guitar, photography, painting and let’s not forget blogging!

3.  Since I started blogging, I have made some wonderful friends from different parts of the world. I didn’t expect it, or think it was possible!

4. I’m able to laugh easily. Every day Mo and I have a laugh and giggle over something, sometimes bringing tears to our eyes. Of late it has often been when Mo is on our Wii :O)

5. I have my faith. It has changed my life immeasurably, making me a much happier and more relaxed person.

I also received this award from Shinade at The painted Veil that came with a lovely message for me :O)

Thank you both!

One last thing!

If you look over at my sidebar you will see that it’s not long now to my first blogoversary.  Watch out for a fun post!

    Congratulations, Lovely Babs!

Those awards are both well-deserved, and I loved reading your list of why your life is grand. We should all do that more often.

Congratulations Babs! Great list. I think every once in awhile we all should make a list of why we think our life is grand. A great way to remind us of the positives instead of focussing on negatives, which is so easy to do.

Oh, and I can’t wait for that celebration in 11 days… Whoo Hoo!

Babs, you know what else is grand about you? The fact that both of you are into the Nintendo Wii! I love my Wii! I would kiss it if weren’t for the fact that wifey is much more kissable! :P

I am new to this blog, and love what I have read so far. I hope you won’t mind if I hang around like a bad smell for awhile! And God bless. :)

Babs congratulations! I love the grand award and your list. As to my picture it is an antique horse drawn manure spreader.

My husband called and laughed at me when he saw the post. He forgets that it was him that grew up on a farm. I grew up just 3 miles from the heart of downtown Dallas, the 5 or 6 th largest city over here.

And as to Oklahoma’s start it was quite something. Now you know why we Americans all own at least one fire arm. It’s the Wild West over here.

No that’s not really so. Where I live I do have a shotgun. But, I also have things such as snakes occasionally as we do have a pond, and I have spent many nights out doors in my P.J.’s chasing off bobcats and mountain lions with shot gun in hand.

And to think when we got married I wore 4 inch heels and thought going to the country was taking a walk in the local park!!

Don’t let me forget your blogoversary and please hello to Mo for me!!:-))))

    Mike: Thank you :)

Sandee: Thanks. I have a bit of fun planned for the event!

JD: Thanks JD. I think, at times, we could all do with thinking of the good things in our lives.

Maureen: Once I started I could think of a lot more things I am grateful for!

Tony: Hi and welcome! If I don’t play my tennis at least once a day, I get withdrawals :) Oh please do hang around, you are very welcome!

Shinade: Oh my! It still sounds a bit scary to me ;) I’ve never even seen a firearm ha ha! I would have been scared to join the land rush, for fear of being shot for my piece! I won’t let you miss the 11th – promise :)

Jeff: Oh, thank you kindly sir :)
