Well I listened

posted by Babs on Wednesday, 25 March 2009

Comment … You are such a fine storyteller.  Oh, please write a book!

Babs:  “No way! – Far too difficult.”

Comment … Yes, you should write a book. You’re an amazing storyteller.

Babs:  “It’s far to daunting.  I wouldn’t know where to start”

Comment … I agree with those above who think you could write a book.

Babs:  “No way! Couldn’t do it”

Comment … Sounds like something I would read in Reader’s Digest.

Babs:  “I wouldn’t know how to approach it…. Oh YES!  That’s how I could do it”

The first chapter is finished!

    Bring it on!
Our family is beginning to resemble the Bronte family, only there’s more of us writing books! First me, then Dad, then Doug and now you. Come on Weechuff don’t let the side down!

See? Baby steps. You’ll have a full-blown novel before you know it!

  3. ShinadeNo Gravatar | 25 March 2009 at 2:48

Gee whiz just the short stories I have read in the past few months would make a great collections of short stories.

Now this new story you started last week really could be turned into a chapter. You are a fabulous writer. I would buy your books in a snap.

Thanks for not giving up on me. I am still down almost completely until late Thursday or Friday.

I am going nuts missing everyone so much!!

I’ll see you some time this week again. At least I’ll be fixed to catch next Saturday’s continuing post to the story.

I wouldn’t know how to do it either, but you could find out. You do write very, very well.

    Have a terrific day. :)

Leeta: I wouldn’t even mention the Bronte family when discussing our family’s books. A different league entirely :O)

Jeff: We shall see how it pans out ;)

Shinade: My blog has and will be a great help in putting it together. I’ve already written quite a bit of the content. I just need to re-write some of the stories to suit.

Mike: Definitely. It’s surprising what we can do if we approach it right.

Kathy: Ha ha! It’s mainly because of you and JD that I’m attempting it :)

Lauren: I’ll give it a go. I’ve got nothing to lose :)

Sandee: I’ll just write and see what comes out. It’ll be fun :)

I like the last comment. I receive similar opinions relatively often. Even if I tell my own life story. So, I decided, there could be 2 reasons:
1/ there is nothing new under the sun
2/ I’m so brave to be similar to the best writers of all times. And these are acknowledgements of my not small talent. ;-) ))))

Shiela: Hi and welcome. I’ll try not to daunt, honest. I think I’ve had a few new readers from SlogBite :)

Go far it. Many first time book writers thought they couldn’t write a book. Just start out by writing, Once upon a time…

    Happy trails.

I’m so glad for you Babs! As to what you do with it when it’s written, you send it out to publishing companies! Then you work on developing a very thick skin in case of rejections, coz very, very, very, very, very, very, very many now famous authors had rejections! I don’t think any self-respecting publisher would reject your book though!

The baby turtles are cute. Can’t wait for the programme(s) Stephen Fry’s making! :) xxx

When I think of a number one blogger and also A queen Of blogs you instantly came into my mind.

I know how very busy you are and I don’t want to burden you. But, I simply couldn’t pass these two along without including you.
