Something a little different

posted by Babs on Tuesday, 31 March 2009

I know Leona Lewis may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I was listening to this track in iTunes and just had to post it. It’s one of my favourites at the moment. I love the music build up throughout the song. I can imagine myself playing in that band ;-)

You need to turn up the volume on this one!   I do – nice and loud!

What I like about Leona Lewis, besides her unique voice, is that she is a sweet, unassuming and gentle person.  I hope she stays that way.

I like it very much too. It’s the first I’ve heard it. I find the music kind of haunting in a good sort of way.

    Have a terrific day. :)

Sandee: I thought she’d made it big in the US. Early days yet, I suppose. She is a very gifted singer.

Sandie: It’s been a while since I liked a female singer, but I love her voice.

Shinade: She won the X Factor here in the UK a couple of years back. She’s a Simon Cowell prodigy.

I agree with you that she is very talented and sweet! And so far, her fame has not affected her…let’s hope it stays that way.

I loved her previous songs too….Bleeding Love and Better in Time, she has an amazing voice!!

Thank you for showcasing her here!! :)

Angels Weekly: I watched her on X Factor, and have to say that she was brilliant from the first performance. It’s been a while since the UK produced such a natural singing talent.

Ivanhoe: I have lots of her tracks now :O)

Beautiful song and lovely video to go with it. I thought she’d made it big in America too.

I’ve just read part 2 of Jeanette and Sidney’s story. What a miracle he survived such a dreadful accident but it must have been hard for the family. Love conquers all!

Musing: Yes she does have a powerful voice. I love it ;)

    Lauren: Sweeeet :)

Waterrose: She has a very unique style of singing and I think ‘Beautiful’ describes it very well.

Black Cat: I think we forget how vast America is. Although she has made a name for herself in some parts of the US, maybe not everywhere eh?

Dorothy: Yes, I haven’t played a song over and over for some time, but this one has me doing that :)

Hiya Speedy! She has a great voice. There’s not much that she can’t do with it.

  22. LiudmilaNo Gravatar | 2 April 2009 at 19:44

Maybe I don’t listen to the words, but the music is so sad… Or, better, I am sad and the music is simply calm. The voice is really good for this type of music.

Liudmila: It is very dramatic music and she does have a beautiful voice.

  24. Vampy VicNo Gravatar | 2 April 2009 at 22:15

IT is a beautiful song and she has a strong voice, but silly me, I can’t listen to that type of music because it makes me sad.. I know I am a strange nut :p hehe

Vampy Vic: Haha! That is strange ;)
