You scream, we scream, you scream some more…

We were all sitting round the table eating our tea and suddenly one of my sisters let out a terrible scream … we all screamed … she screamed some more … we all screamed some more.  There she was, looking terrified with a fork hanging out of her mouth.  The fork swinging to and fro and my sister screaming some more …. us screaming some more … she clasped both hands around her mouth, howling.   We didn’t know what we were screaming for, but scream we did.  We were sure that she had the most horrific tongue piercing, even by todays standards.  so much screaming went on that the lady who lived downstairs came running up to see what was wrong.  She soon ushered my sister, fork still swinging, away from the table to take a closer look.  In a flash my sister came back, fork in hand, no blood, looking quite indignant and just a little embarrassed.  All that screaming and all she had done was get her tongue wedged between two prongs of the fork!  We all, realizing that there was no horrific tongue peircing, carried on eating.

A typical day in our house :O)

I’ve never been stabbed by my fork but I’ve bitten myself plenty of times while I’m chewing gum…….yeah I’m vigorous. Since I quit smoking, the oral fixation has become intense and I get so worked up that I bite myself.
    Thanks for the laugh.
