The Terrible Two’s

posted by Babs on Monday, 23 July 2007

Sukie has now reached that age where she is tearing about like a demented torpedo! She totally ignores our shouts of No! and we are in danger of our home being totally smashed up! Things go flying and ornaments come crashing down – including my lovely roses in a glass vase! By some miracle it didn’t break.

Today we decided to make large “throw-overs” for our sofas to protect them from Sukie’s sharp claws as she flies from one side of the room to the other, running over everything in her path! We rummaged through the material cupboard and found a very large piece of material we bought really cheaply for our puppet making. It turned out to be no good for puppets so there is a lot left over.

What a waste of time it was. Sukie decided it was a new game and promptly started to climb underneath it and make her way up the arm of the sofa, in a frenzied attack! Back in the storage cupboard for that bright idea :O(

===============================

Sukie plays quite roughly with the other cats and we get a bit concerned for poor Livvie, who is fourteen and an old lady. Last night I tried to get Sukie off livvie’s back (she rides her like a jockey at times) and the little minx wriggled and squirmed and I couldn’t get hold of her. My only option was to pick Livvie up and take her to the safety of the back room. As I went to carry her out, Sukie wouldn’t give up and leapt from the floor right up to poor livvie who was in my arms!

She is totally adorable but the flip side is she’s a real maniac of a cat! A whole new meaning for ‘the terrible twos’ – she is two months old ha ha!

Just thought these photos would make you laugh – it did us!

    Is that Sukies underbelly I can see? It looks like Livvie did the diving this time and landed flat on top of her! Hahah

    Who would have thought such a tiny little bundle of fluff would turn out to be such a great engine of destruction!!! Mind you, there is just a hint of madness behind those big eyes. Ha! Ha!

    Yes we do :O) Her eyes are actually a ginger brown colour. Unusual for a black cat. I will post some more cat photos soon.
