Major job on hand
Just thought I’d add this to brighten my posting up a bit :O)
I have been so busy searching for, and recording music tracks for you all.
Our “Boogie Box”, the only thing we have that plays cassette tapes is not a good one and linking it to my Mac was a real problem. It had a loud buzz which I can’t help recording (luckily it doesn’t notice behind the music). Suddenly it threw another nasty at me and now pops and buzzes and jumps all over the place, making a terrible noise. I discovered that it doesn’t actually record that awful din so now I have to listen to an awful noise every track I record, but al least I can record them! You can barely hear the music and that also is jumping all over the place! It’s so bad that I have to turn the volume right down and watch the sound wave to know when it’s finished. I have no idea where it is coming from. My Boogie box plays fine and my Mac records and plays fine. Somewhere between the two is a nasty gremlin that causes havoc!
I have recorded twelve tracks so far :O) I know there are others and it’s a case of searching dozens of old tapes to find them. Some are lost I think :O( A certain person, who shall remain nameless, had a habit of putting tapes back into the wrong cases and some labelled “Our Songs” or “Mo’s Songs” have a lot of old rubbish in them. The actual tapes were, no doubt, put into unmarked cases and then recorded over. At least now that it’s all kept on my Mac I can look after stuff ha ha!

Thank you for going to all that trouble. The recording of Mo is so, so beautiful, and in Arthur’s words incredible! Was it a very old recording or a recent one? It’s such a shame that Mo doesn’t exploit her voice more. Please thank her for that lovely start to my day

Well done Babs! I knew you would be able to do it. I was in a day dream listening to it. It seemed we were all so much younger when Mo recorded that:0( She should really have a go at recording some more now. I know she still has the voice for it, it’s just the confidence she lacks of late. Go on Mo!

Mo has no confidence in her ability to sing. Such a shame as we used to have such fun singing and recording years ago. Me and Babs make superb backing singers!
She Who Shall Remain Nameless has a terrible tidying up fetish. Trouble is, she has absolutely no rhyme or reason to where she puts things. Just as long as it is put somewhere, that is all that matters! I’d kill her!!!
