Keep out of the kitchen!
This post is very late (or early) as my broadband went down for a while. It’s back on now so here goes.
Mo had another one of her “Keep out of the kitchen I’m baking a surprise” days today. I did spy her chopping cherries up before I was ushered out of the kitchen though :O)
I busied myself with recording and it seemed like only moments later she called out “OK, you can come in now”. There she stood with a proud grin on her face and behind her lay a baking tray full of ‘Victoria sponge’ cherry cakes, too hot to taste. Notice the fine dusting of icing suger ha ha! Typical ‘Mo’ style that.
I see only one problem with this new found hobby of baking. Until now we have never had any baking that wasn’t savoury and part of our dinner. I have always said no to any baking of cakes and puddings as there are only two of us and we would end up putting too much weight on. The scones and cakes that Mo has baked are so tasty that we obviously eat them – well who wouldn’t? If she bakes a dozen that’s one each every day for six days. Still they are only small ;O)

Now that is exactly why I don’t bake! Trouble is, it’s Livvie’s new-found hobby too. Oh dear, that little sofa you recently bought won’t be big enough now for our big bums!!!

That’s if you have the will power to onlu eat one a day, and wait until they get stale! Not me!! I would gobble them all up on the first day, and so would everyone I know:0)

Huh Babs, are you telling the truth, nothing but the truth when you say and I quote: one a day! No way, they would be gone in one day with Dave and I.
When is Mo coming to stay with us in Spain? Oh well if you only eat one you can come too :O)
