The sun, the sun, the SUN!!!
Today we went for a long-awaited picnic with the church.

The last one had to be cancelled due to all the heavy rain and flooding. It was a lovely sunny day and the sun was very hot and burning my knees. Luckily there were some small clouds wafting across the sky which gave us rest from the burning sun. I have to say that I, and others, got quite cold when the sun went behind a cloud, and had to don jackets etc. On the whole, there was a healthy mix of sun and cloud.

A nice time was had by all. Some “Garden” games were played, along with “Rounders” and similar games for the fitter people. I didn’t play rounders this time :O) Last year I played and shocked myself at how I managed to run such a lot, and hold my own with people less than half my age. I quickly learned that I shouldn’t have – I damaged my thigh muscles and had a lot of problems for several weeks after. I should have known that you don’t go from nothing straight to a 3 mile sprint, and certainly not when you’re 60!
I have now accepted that you just have to let things go that you once loved. You have no choice.

At last, some sun! I came back from Wales wih a red nose. Normally I wouldn’t sit in the sun, but I haven’t even seen the sun in three months so I dashed out to soak up some rays!

I don’t recognise most of the people in the picture!
How lovely jubbly the sun was. Livvie and I walked through it on Friday from the gym down to the bus stop in Stocksbridge, outside Church. But then it tipped it down.
And today! We got some good garden photos of our hair in the sun.
I like sun!!

Thank goodness for a bit of sunshine for you. We have all had enough of that wet stuff, so let’s hope the sun hangs around for a good while yet! It looks as though everyone was enjoying themselves:0)

Well let’s hope the rain is on it’s way over to us for five! I am sweating hot all the time, I joke not, our bodies are wet, wet, wet. That sounds like another band ;O)
