It’s nice up ‘ere innit?

Mo is at the hospital as I am writing this blog. If you remember she had all these tests for this strange “Neck/throat” problem. Well, thank goodness they never did find anything more serious than an enlarged thyroid causing it.

Well, they only discovered the thyroid problems because she was sent for an x-ray on her head to find out what this loud wooshing and pulsating noise was which kept her awake at nights. Thankfully, that turned out to be nothing more serious, even though it’s horrid, than a form of Tinitus, which is linked to your blood flow. You hear the blood rushing through your veins, along with the more normal symptoms. Well I am telling you all this as a lead up to the second part of her treatment, the first part being medication for the thyroid.

Today she has gone off for the first of many ‘Relaxation’ classes. Hopefully she will learn how to relax properly and put it into practice in her every day life.

On the 17th August she will trot off to another twelve week course of Tai Chi. This is part of her ‘Vestibular Therapy’ apparently. She has an hour of Tai Chi followed by 15 minutes with a doctor for assessment etc., each week. She is really looking forward to it all :O)

I do have to repeat what we have all said before. The hospitals, the treatment you get, and the warmth of the staff, are second to none here in South Yorkshire.

Just a little note. As I am typing this Sukie did the funniest thing. She continually talks to herself – quite loudly too. She just gave out a purr come squeal (as she does) and made a flying leap across the room. Have you ever seen a cat take a flying leap and land on their back legs? It looked sooo funny :O) I’m not talking to Sukie at the moment, but that’s for another blog ;O)

Well I will give you an update on Mo when she has been for her Tai Chi.

Oh Babs, I envy Mo in a lot of ways her classes, they sound really nice. I do hope she enjoys the one today and comes back really relaxed.

Keep us informed via the blog please on all her progress.

What is Tai Chi Babs? It sounds relaxing as well. It is good they follow each session with a talk to a doctor; they so often do these classes and drop you from their books into the hands of the classes with no further contact, well not for months anyway.
Get Mo to do a short blog on what happened today pleeeeeeeeeese.

Mo doing a blog!!! Well a special one for you would probably be fine Tina. You and Mo have a certain, can we say, similarity in writing. It’s great fun decyphering, not easy understanding, and always good for a hearty giggle! I think we’d better wait for Babs to give us the low down. I’m waiting to be given a real live demonstration by Mo of her Tai Chi. I’d love to have a go. Excercise without straining and huffing and puffing!

I hope Mo enjoys the classes. What is the reason that she has been given them? Is it because of her Titanus or her Thyroid? I can’t think of any illness that would give you that many classes!!
Have I missed something? I bet we will get a good laugh when she shows us what she has learnt, don’t you? Hahaha!

It’s all for the Tinitus and her neck (spine) pain. It’s to learn how to really relax, which eases both problems a bit.

She said she will give you all a demo once she has been – pad your knicker Ha ha ha!

MO-THER!Honestly, I’ll never be able to hold my head up in public again!

I am already giggling at the thought of Mo giving us all Tai Chi lesson! I know Mo will love it, just tell her to be veeeery careful when they ask her to lift her leg!

  7. weechuff | 9 August 2007 at 22:10

Oh no! I had forgotten she will have to lift her leg very slowly. Let’s hope she doesn’t have a long rumbling one! Hahaha!!

  8. Beetle | 9 August 2007 at 22:21

Sandieeeee! So rude! ha ha ha! If Mo has a rumbling one she will laugh, that will make her rumble some more, then she’ll laugh again and then rum….. Do you get the picture?
