She’s no Eartha Kitt!
There I was, minding my own business and doing my own thing when I heard “OUWWWWW!” It was coming from the kitchen so I went to see what was wrong.
We have two steps leading down from the kitchen, to what used to be a garage but was converted to a room for my work. I hasten to add that the cats now own that room! I digress. Back to the reason for the post.
Mo was lying on the floor, feet in the cats room and head in the kitchen, adorning the steps and not looking as much like Eartha Kitt as she would have wanted – more like a beached whale actually.
“Ooooh” she said. “Are you all right?” I said. “Ooooh” she said again, “I’ve hurt myself.” “Where?” I said. “Ooh” she said, trying in vain to get up. “My back.” I made sure she was OK, and after rolling around trying to get in a position that enabled her to actually stand up, she managed to scramble to her feet – before I could take a photo! How inconsiderate! I did ask her to lay back down for me but she just laughed.
She is fine by the way, or I wouldn’t be writing this post.

Doesn’t Mo understand what she signed up for when you started your blog? Didn’t you make her sign a waiver? Unless she’s being wheeled away to a hospital, she’s supposed to stop and pose for a picture. What a slacker!

That was a close one. It reminded me of the time my Queen fell in the garage. She was up on the top step of a ladder trying to rearrange a shelf. She slipped and fell right onto the cement. Broke her back! Plus, she nearly hit her head on the edge of the concrete step. It was the scariest day of my life. So be careful.

Drowsey: I have always said she looks like a whale when she’s laying down on the floor. I usually sing that very old song “Whale (Well) I ask you” She always laughs – thank goodness
Swubird: That was awful! It made me shudder when I read it. Your poor Queen – and you. You must have been very scared at the time. Thankfully Mo only fell up the steps and not down.

Maureen: Yes I bet she is glad but, you know, I think she would have probably let me post it. I’ve never got my camera when I need it, and by the time I’ve rushed to get it the moment has passed!

The nice thing to do would’ve been to paste Mo’s face onto Eartha Kitt’s body. Then she might be more amenable to a more embarrassing photo session in the future!
