Things that scream out in the night!

posted by Babs on Thursday, 11 October 2007

Well, as I haven’t written a blog in ages, I thought I would tell you all about my dream last night. Here goes ……..

I was staying at a camp site, I think, with lots of strangers (as you do). I needed to go to the loo and someone had told me where it was. I trudged for miles to what seemed to be a two story shopping centre.

Nothing is simple, or normal in dreams and this dream was no different. I searched the whole building for ages, eventually I was told it was down one floor. To get there I had to perform real Indiana Jones tricks as it was now like a bombed building and I had to find my way down all the rubble and dangerous drops.

I landed nicely on the bottom floor and saw the block of toilets. A long, black painted, block of about twenty cubicles. I made my way into one, shut the door and proceeded to go to wee. Everything so far was fine. It wasn’t a bad dream, just weird. At least I made the toilet and I was fully dressed in this dream – So often I have no clothes on and am in an awful state trying to get from A to B without being seen.

As you may have guessed, it was all about to change!

As I was sitting there I heard a noise above my head and looked up. There was a man hanging over the dividing wall of the cubicle, who can only be described as a look-alike for Hannibal Lector. He had that sickening leer and was slowly coming over the wall and grabbing at me. I tried to scream out for help but no sound came out. I took a deep breath and screamed out “Help me!” again. This time a muffled barely audible noise came out. I just couldn’t get my voice box to work, no matter how hard I tried. I screamed “Help me” about fifteen times. Each time I was more desperate than the last time, and each time it was as muffled as the first.

He was getting closer and closer to me, and now had hold of my hands tightly. I mustered up every ounce of strength and screamed “Help me” one more time. Still no audible sound, then I woke up.

I had to get up to go to the toilet, which is very unusual for me, but when I got back to bed I was burning hot and couldn’t get the dream out of my mind. I had to wake myself up completely and even then it was running round my mind. What I would have done, and what I would have liked to do to him! Ha ha!

I think I fell asleep about 6:30 or 7am. When I got up Mo was out but when she came home she said I had been screaming out, loudly, in my sleep. I wish she had woken me up :O(

Ooooh! I hate it when you can’t make yourself heard in a dream. You scream and scream and no one can hear you!

What a horrible dream:0( We met Mo when we were out and she said that you had been screaming or shouting in your sleep! Isn’t it always the way in dreams? You scream and shout for help but no sound comes out – horrible!

That was mean of Mo not to wake you up. I wake up Arthur almost every night, sometimes more than once! He is usually VERY grateful!
I’m not so happy as he goes right back to sleep without even remembering. I then have to get up to go to the loo, and lie awake for ages!

Ha ha ha ha! That made me laugh – although it’s not funny when you’re dreaming it eh?

Ooh Babs, what a horrid dream although you were not hurt. I also am often naked, or my teeth are all falling out. I cannot be heard when I cry out for help either. I phone the police to save Daves life and no sound will come from my mouth!

The nicest re occurring dream is when I get the chance to run all round a supermarket collecting bikes, goodies TV’s and all things nice for all the family, when I get to the check out with all the goodies I wake. I always feel hard done by.
