We’ve been invaded again!

Remember our invasion of the shrooms?

They came back a couple of months ago but the weather was too hot and they shrivelled up within a day.  I was a bit disappointed because they look quite nice in the garden.  Well they’re back again!  You can’t keep a good shroom down!

Though you can’t see in the photo, there are lots of stones amongst the mushrooms because they forced there way up from under the shingle.  I think I will consider these similar to an autumn shrub and look forward to them each year now.  Maybe twice a year, and maybe we’ll keep the stones off that tree stump to make sure they have a nice clean entry in future.

Am I alone in thinking they are quite attractive?

They do look nice. I’m always worried the woofies will eat the wrong kind.

I am just a little bit scairted of that big mass of mushrooms!

Whata beautiful family!!! By the way, they are called in Italy “… family” …pardon, forgot the first word. We have them in the garden too. But the relatives of my husband steel them every year and we are all the years too late…

I’m always amazed when I see mushrooms popping up all over the place. I find them interesting to look at, but never know if they’re poison or not.

I think they look really cool. I’ve never seen them grow in a big clump like that.

Jen: They do appear magically, but that’s where the magic stops ;)

Sandee: Would I mean any other kind? :)

Sniffie and the Florida Furkids: Thankfully woofies are not aloud out unless they are on a lead, so it wouldn’t happen in our garden, at least. The cats never go near them either.

Ruth: Ha ha! Curely poincidence that it resembles a gen zarden. It hust jappened that way :D

Daisy: Daisy, you should be a little scairted of those mushrooms. You might get sick if you ate any.

Liudmilla: I expect your mushrooms are edible. These definitely are not! They are harmless but we don’t touch them just in case :)

Barb: I guess you don’t like them then ;)

Jude: We never touch any wild mushrooms. You just never know if they are poisenous. Some are very pretty.

Lidian: We actually look to see if they have come back now, like waiting for a plant to bloom :)

Ann: They are a mushroom that grows on dead trees, and as we have a tree stump they grow on that only – making it a round mass :)

Staciesmadness: I’m glad it’s a nice orange colour and not boring old brown. It brightens the garden up ;)

Babs, I did a post Sunday on mushrooms. We have lots and lots of them and I think they are so interesting to say the least. Did you know they all form from one huge fungus under the ground? Mushrooms and other types of fungus fascinate me. I have some stuff growing at my house that I have never seen before.

I wonder why they grow there and why they grow in a mass like that. To keep warm? No, you are not alone in thinking they look attractive. Nature has a way of looking like artwork, doesn’t it? In one of the science buildings on the campus I work at has beautiful macro photos of micro-organism fractals lining a hallway. I’m always mesmerized by them.

I love the fall. Everything looks so much prettier to me. I like the way those shrooms look like a tiny shrub!

You are definitely not the only one to think that they are attractive. I still remember the last one you posted. I thought they are pretty attractive too.
