Autumn leaves
Just a few Autumn photos I took last week. We were collecting conkers again. If you look closely you can see some that we couldn’t reach.
You can click to enlarge them a bit, for better quality.
I hope to be back blogging very soon.

Babs, I really wish I could take professional quality photos. It takes me a hundred shots to get one right. I’m allowed to blame the camera, right?
We’ll keep your seat warm for ya. Blog when you feel like it and not a moment sooner.

Glad you see that you are well.

Actually we play conkers even though I live in Wisconsin… I found out about it a couple years ago. I forgot how- but there is a tree next to my kids school where we collect them. It’s actually a pretty tough game- some of my children don’t like to play for fear of getting slammed with a conker in the face. Here something fun to know- one of the guys from Monty Python is a champion conker player- but I can’t remember who?

Autumn is so beautiful. The explosion of the colors. I like it very much. And your photos confirm my words. But the second is so interesting. The central figure seems to a special fable animal.

Babs:
Absolutely beautiful pictures, but I don’t think I’ve ever had a conker. Do they taste good?
happy trails.

I had to really laugh at your comment Swubird. I think you might get a serious tummy ache if you ate conkers. They are not eaten, but we use them in a game called ‘Conkers’ – of course.

Beautiful autumn pics, Babs. And I’m glad I know what conckers are. At least I think – from the first picture. We call them buckeyes around here

Well, I was going to blame the fact that I didn’t know what conkers were on being American, but since someone before me claims they play it in Wisconsin, I’ll have to think up another excuse.
I wish I could take as good of pictures as you. Autumn looks so clean and cool and crisp.
