No, it’s definitely not a handbag!
Mo ordered some boots from a catalogue recently. The parcel arrived and I opened it and took out her boots. There was another package inside.
“What’s this?” I asked.
“It’s my free handbag” Mo said. She had been told she would receive a free gift of a leather handbag, purse and wallet.
“Doesn’t feel like a handbag to me” I said. I handed her the very soft package and she frowned as she opened it.
This is how it went……
**Poppers and zips hurriedly undone**
Babs: “Nice handbag” (grin)
Mo had just got herself a new handbag, and didn’t want one anyway, and though I’m always cold, I can’t really see me wearing this – unless we have a really bad winter, then I just might.
Does anyone know what it’s called?

Could it be a…. SNUGGIE!? The blanket with sleeves!
Jenn Thorson

They used to call the kinds you step into a “SnugSack.” It seems better than a Snuggie in that it has snaps to keep it closed. Where a Snuggie is just a backwards blanket with sleeves.
Still, it is amazing in its NotPurseness.

Mo looks like she is wearing a saree. LOL
I think this would be great for you in the winters !

Daisy: It had nothing on the packaging so your guess is as good as any
Jenn: It’s not an actual sack. It is a blanket but it also has poppers (snaps) at the bottom that you fix it with between your feet, keeping the cold out. This enables you to shuffle around the room, as your feet are exposed, though I wouldn’t tackle stairs!
Jaffer: Yes, I thought it looked like that too! You may be right about me wearing it in the winter. I get very cold sitting at my computer

It’s some sort of snuggee- and that would be okay to read books with my little rug rats but other then that it is silly. My Mom would like it- she likes to watch movies a lot and is always cold. I mean always- I have seen her wear a sweater on the hottest day in July.

“This enables you to shuffle around the room, as your feet are exposed,..” If I tried that I’d fall flat on my face! You can never have enough blankets. We have five in the living room alone. I’m sorry Mo can’t use the free gift. But how were the boots at least?

Michelle: I must admit to getting very cold legs sitting here at my PC, and may well wrap a blanket around them in the winter, but I really don’t see me sitting in this!
Kathy: I think you’re right about the blankets, especially when you live with Mo. She always has a large fan blowing cold air because she is such a hot biddy!
The boots were fine. That’s Mo’s feet sorted for the snow
Sandee: You know I could never see you wearing one of these
Meleah: Are you sure you would want, or need to wear one in you new home

I have no idea what it is. But it’s definitely not a handbag. Pretty cool though especially when the weather get cold or one may need to sleep outdoor. Come to think of it, it seems to be having the same concept as a sleeping bag.

Black Cat: A body bag! Oh that’s it, I won’t be wearing it now.
BK: I guess you must live somewhere other that the UK to suggest the possibility of sleeping outdoors. Not something you would do unless it was a great summer

Loved the photos of Mo modeling that thing whatever it is, she sure is a good sport and even managed a big old smile for the camera. I would probably use it because I’m always cold, I’ve actually been thinking about getting one of those snuggies, not sure I’d like those snaps.

I don’t think it’s an actual Snuggie but it is the same idea, and looks a lot nicer than the Snuggie. Now you can blog while wearing the blanket.

HA! Mo is such a good sport. And I’m with her — always hot. I don’t need extra blankets because I’ve got cats who insist upon lying all over me. A blanket would be easier, tho.

Think how much someone who is homeless and sleeps in the open covered in a cardboard box would just love that. I’d give it to someone needy. I thought that Mo looked a bit like the Dalai Lama actually. Quite religious looking!

JD: I don’t know which is worse. Always being hot or always being cold. I think maybe cold as you can wear a snuggie
Barb: I think you may be right. I may well end up wearing it
Granny Grimble: As nice as that sounds, I think you’d find it totally impractical. It’s not made to move about in.

Ha! Well done Mo on the modelling! I was wondering what Babs had up her sleeve…
I am always cold; so I would just keep it un-zipped, un-snapped, whatever and use it as a blankie. Yep. I said “blankie”.
I like the colours….

I thought Mo did a great job for your advertisement. We have a TV ad for these, but the zipper kind. It is the most ridiculous ad I’ve ever seen, because unlike yours with humor, it is all seriousness – which of course makes it more hilarious!

Yes, I think those are called ’snuggies’ and they’re for wearing while sitting in your armchair on a cold winter night.
You could always auction it on eBay!

Ruth: How can you take these things seriously? What I could do with is something from the waist down. I often joke with Mo and say I’ll make some baggy, fleece trouser to wear
Jay: Well I think it was more fun than a handbag don’t you?

As for me, you have to ask in the shop if they know what it is. No, you can use it how you want, but it’s simply interesting, what THEY think it has to be. Curious. I would write and ask them-.
