JD: When X Factor in the UK first started you could, at least, rely on the judges to make sensible decisions, but now everything they say and do is yet another devious maneuver! They now don’t think twice about crushing a great singer, just to win their personal, and childish battles!

I’m sure Laura will get a contract soon. I suppose, the best these shows do is actually make the industry aware of possibly great singers. I expect talent scouts tune in.

Oh, I get like this with American Idol. Does anyone remember Sanjaya? He was a no-talent idiot who was kept around just because he was desperate and stupid and would try anything for attention. Polly: I have to admit that I am beginning to see a whole different side to this programme, that I don’t like. There are a couple of petitions online, one of which is to get rid of Louis Walsh, and the other is to re-instate Laura. I doubt either will happen though.

Regarding Johnathan Ross. I suppose his 3 month ban only covers the BBC. I think he should have done a Simon Dee ;O)

Well Babs the debate goes on …. they are now saying that Dianna (I think that is the way her name is spelt – young blonde one) was now whooping and screaming at a fireworks party just three days before the competition on Saturday. As she was waived through without having to fight for her place it’s getting a little ‘peg on the nose’ state of affairs. So what is going on this year? I know one thing I think that they should perhaps dump Cheryl Cole and bring in Pete Waterman … he talks it like it is and he was one of the brains behind the launch of Kyle Manogue. The sickly syrup of Cheryl with the same cliches is getting tiresome.

Not long before we all begin moaning at the choices once more.

It’s a tad sickening to think that Jonathan Ross will be appearing on CIN on Friday though – I thought he might well have done a Simon Dee …

granny grimble: I think you’re right. I never did watch BB, only celebrity BB. They stopped making that one because I guess they couldn’t get too many willing celebrities. X Factor is one of the very few I watch. Now that is becoming a farce!

Paunchiness: I imagine there are far more of these programmes in the US. As I don’t watch much TV, I don’t know of many others here in the UK. What started off as a brilliant way to discover new talent has turned into a programme of broken dreams and nasty remarks.

All these reality programmes start off by crossing all the t's and dotting all the I's and being sooo interesting and gratifying. But all of them, in my eyes any way, end up pandering to sensationalism or receiving strange votes that don't make sense. I stopped watching Big Brother after the first three for this reason, and I fear that 'I'm a Celebrity' will go the same way. I don't think I will watch the next X Factor - if there is one! granny grimble´s last blog post..I GOT AN AWARD !

Hi Babs, I'm Max, we may have bumped into each other at SlogBite or Swubird's! You are so right to be MAD! Laura has an outstanding voice: as I listened to her I had the gooseskin! Wow!!
