Mo singing ‘A Merry Little Christmas’

posted by Babs on Saturday, 20 December 2008

Here it is.  Mo singing last Sunday night.  The sound quality is not brilliant, but not bad considering it was recorded through the video camera.

She did well, but notice the microphone was not switched on when she started.  Her nerves must have got to her, because I’m sure I saw her switch it off at the beginning!   She really jumps at the end, when the audience screams.  We fell about when we saw that played back :O)

They must have liked it, because they have asked her to sing it again at our ‘Carols by Candlelight’ service.

She sings sweetly and if God was listening, I bet she brought smile to his face and a tear to His eye. I’m just sentimental and I think He is too. Merry Christmas!

That was lovely. That’s one of my very favorite X-mas songs. I love her reaction at the end! She obviously wasn’t expecting such applause!

  3. JayNo Gravatar | 20 December 2008 at 20:54

Poor Mo - she does look nervous! I think you should feed her a large vodka or something just before she goes on. She has such a great voice, I’d love to hear her really let rip!

Theresa111: That’s a very sweet thing to say, and we hope you have a merry Christmas too :)

JD: I know, it made us laugh when we saw it played back. I was speaking to about 100 people once and made them laugh. It made me jump too. When you’re not used to an audience it does that.

Jay: The problem is, that she can’t turn up at a church service half cut! I promise to get some of her recordings up on YouTube as soon as I can.

granny grimble: She sings it again tomorrow night. Shame you can’t be there.

God is listening. Very well done. That’s hard to do too. The timing has to be spot-on. Thanks for sharing.

    Have a terrific day. :)

That was wonderful! She’s so talented :) I got a kick out of your response to Jay - lol, I guess she has to be sober at church, dang it.

hehe it was so cute how Mo jumped at the end!
She has such a wonderful strong voice, while she pulled that off ever so beautifully you could hear her voice just wanting to be let out of the cage.
I would love to hear Mo sing where she can really show what it sounds like she can do :)

Sandee: Yes, Mo does have very good voice control and timing - yet she doesn’t know it!

Drowsey: Ha ha Yes, though I bet she would have loved a little tipple :)

Speedy: I think you do a mean vocal rendition yourself ;)

Lauren: You know, anything is possible!!

Lady Banana: She finds it harder to sing in a church, for some reason. Maybe it’s because she can’t have a little drink to loosen herself up :)

I don’t think she looks nervous at all. In fact she looks quite in control of the situtation. Superb vocals.
