The rapture has started!

I’m taking part in 30 Days of Writing, started by Nicky and Mike of We Work For Cheese. For a list of who’s taking part just visit their blog and check the list of links at the bottom. Today’s prompt is ‘Like there’s no tomorrow’.

This is another re-post from my original blog. It happened last year, when we actually had a little bit of a summer. Well at least it wasn’t raining continually, like this year.

This is what it’d be like if there was no tomorrow for some people. I wouldn’t fancy being one of the people left behind though.

Mo had finished her ironing (everyone’s favourite pastime) and had gone into the garden to cool down a bit.

“I’ve come back for my phone” she said.  I looked up from my computer and turned to speak to her.

“You’ve wha………”  I was talking to an empty pair of shoes.

OH. MY. WORD!

The rapture has started!  But if that’s the case then tell me.

Why am I still here?

Will anybody read this post?

Is anybody there?

Please?

Man, Mo is fast! Hahaha! I’m still here 😉
    Have a great weekend!
    Hugs from Ohio,
    I.

  • If I were God…

Maybe she went on ahead to save a spot for you? Everyone knows the best ones are both near the stage AND the rest rooms, so they’re the first ones to go.

  • I remember this one. Too funny! I’m sure there a few surprised/disappointed people that day…because it was a day just all those before and they’re still here, too.

    LOVED reading this again, Babs!

One of my favorites of yours!!!!! HILARIOUS!

Have a great weekend, my friend!

    X to you and Mo!

    • Thanks Ron. I really did laugh at those shoes when it happened 🙂

Cute post. Believe me, the more I read the news headlines and compare them to what Jesus said, the more the rapture is on my mind! See ya up there. 😉

    • Oh I sincerely hope I’ll be up there with you 🙂

  • I had no idea what to do with this post. Thank you Babs! I loved it the first time, and I loved it even better this time!

    • Neither did I. I’m too ‘mature’ to want to do much more than normal and that sounds so boring 🙂

I remember this post from last year. I will say that you and Mo have a very entertaining life and Mo is usually the entertainment.

    Have a terrific weekend. 🙂

  • P.J.

Ha! Setting you up was she? 😀

    • Actually, Mo steps out of her shoes anytime and anywhere!

  • I remember this one because it was one of my FAVORITES!

  • Wendy

Cute..very cute. I laughed. Does it rain where they’re raptured?

    • If it does it will be a fine sprinkle of silver or gold 😀

  • Excellent!!! Is it weird that I often talk to an empty pair of shoes?
