Was this a trick for Halloween?

Have you all plotted together, to not comment on my previous blog post, as some sort of Halloween trick, or is there something wrong with my feed again?

I was forced into changing my blog theme, as the one I used has been replaced by a newer version. I wonder why it wasn’t simply updated? I also added a couple of new plug-ins. The difficult part is guessing what happened between my first post about the new design and my next post.

I did install a Firefox extension, called ‘Ghostery’, that blocks a lot of these unwanted collector’s of information (trackers), that get installed on our computers. I was careful to switch off blocking for all but advertisers, but wonder if it could be that. I’ve now disabled it to see if things are any better.

I really hope I don’t have problems again.

    Hiya Babs!

I am so glad you posted this because I saw the post your referring to on my reader last week, but when I clicked on it to come over to your blog, it said “Page Not Found.” I kept coming by all week, just to see if you had posted it. What I eventually thought was that the post was in your “drafts” and that you were waiting to post it at a later date. However, I was able to read the post through my reader, so I actually went over to your great nephews website and listened to his recordings and LOVED it!

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that the post was visible through my reader, but just not on your blog.

    Hopes this helps.

    X to you and Mo!

    • Ron, I did post it by mistake, before my photoblog challenge. I quickly took it down again and re-posted on 1st. I wonder if I caused the problem?

Babs, I just went back into my reader to see when it showed up – it’s dated Oct. 29th, so that’s when it was visible to me. I must have seen it just before you posted.

Anyway, glad you were able to re-post it because it’s a GREAT post!

        • Thanks Ron. It went up on the 29th, dated as the 1st October and was way down in my reader. I re-posted it on the 1st Nov and nada! At least I now know it was my fault entirely 🙂

  • Testing, this is only a test. If this was a real post I would have been more clever. This is only a test.

    • This is a test and now it has the wrong Disqus title! I give up!

The junkdrawer lady introduced me to your blog, and since your email updates are one thing NOT blocked by my employer, I enjoy reading every update you make (also very much enjoyed your photos of Mo)…but I don’t go to your website while working the day gig, and once I get home from my day gig, I have an evening gig, and then….then it’s time for me and the poochie to go for a walk and I tend not to want to surf the internet once I’m home, even though your blog is AWESOME!

    • Hello bohemiAnn! Thank you for taking the time to comment here. It’s very nice to know that you read my posts and enjoy them. I totally understand that you have a busy day and don’t have time to surf the net. It’s OK for us retired people, with nothing to do all day. Even then I often get bogged down with other stuff. I hope you continue to enjoy my blog.

  • Hope all your blog feed problems are over and done with. Anything related to glitches in blogs are frustrating. I pick up your posts on Feedly and everything seems to look fine. My problem is I am behind reading my favorite blogs this week…obviously your is one of my faves.

    • I love hearing that my blog is one of your favourites 🙂 As you know, yours is one of mine too!

  • I commented on your last post. I use blogger because it’s easy. I wouldn’t be able to do this type of blog. I would love to, but I’m just not talented enough.

Have a fabulous day. Big hugs to you both. 🙂

    • Yes, you did comment, when it went up by mistake. You are so quick off the mark 😉

  • Hmmm… I’ll have to double-check my reader but I don’t think it showed up. 🙁

    • Don’t tell anyone, but I think I caused the problem. I MUST check the date I schedule a post for properly!

  • I almost always read your posts but I don’t think I saw one in this case!

    • I think it may have been my fault. It posted too early and with the wrong month, so I quickly took it down and reposted on the correct day. I may well have messed up my own feed 🙂

  • Jay of The Depp Effect

I didn’t see it! But I’ve commented now!

  • Great news, whatever the problem was, Ghostery didn’t cause it. It just keeps websites from tracking you but it won’t affect your blog. I’ve used it for years and highly recommend it. I’m glad that people are posting!

    • Thanks Nora. I’m glad you told me that. I have enabled Ghostery again. I think I caused my own problem, by not checking the date before scheduling.

  • Oy. Blog issues are THE WORST.

I haven’t been commenting on ANY blogs lately – because I haven’t had the time – but I’m making up for it today!

  • I can’t figure out why but I’ve had so little time to look at blogs including my own recently 🙁

    • I must admit, I’m a bit like that too. I go in fits and starts.
