I’m back, after changing my host

I’m back after a week of problems. I almost gave up and closed my blog, but here I am again.

While I was blogless, I also became computerless. I have no idea what happened, but everything went really weird for me and I had to reformat my hard drive. Stress, stress and more stress!

I am still working on this blog. My post section isn’t working. I can’t see any formatting at all, so this could end up looking awful. I will be un-installing and re- installing plug ins, in the hopes of getting it back again, so my blog could be coming and going for a while.

Why did I ever change hosts?

  • Ron

The best to you in your transfer, Babs 🙂

I will check back over the weekend.

    X to you and Mo!

    • It won’t happen until next week as it will take 5 days for the domain transfer. I don’t know why, but I thought it would only take about 24 hours.

  • Good luck with that Babs. I’ve often thought of doing that but I’m okay with the free versions of Blogger and WordPress.

    • I only did it, because I was used to having my own domain. I’d had one for years, previously and liked the fact that I was in total control of my photos and content.

  • I’m sure it will be just fine Babs and half the cost is awesome.

Have a fabulous day and weekend. Big hugs to you both. ???

    • Thanks Sandee. I’m sure it will be fine too 🙂

As I see it now – it’s very beautiful. I like the new look very much. And it opens good, too. But I’m sad for the infinite problems with the hostings. It’s not only about yours. I hear about it and lieve the problem in person, too.

    • Here’s hoping that I don’t have any more problems in the future 🙂

  • Good luck with the change. I hope it’s a smooth transition.

Good luck Babs! I have added you to my art blog links so I am not away so very long again…

  • I hope it went or is going well. I moved from godaddy to realwebhost and that was a hard move. I had tons of sites. But my current hosting company has really good support so that made a big difference. You made a good decision… money AND support!

    • I can do this at my own speed, so shall take my time with it, in the hopes that I don’t lose all my emails etc.

  • Looking good! Best of luck getting everything squared away. Anytime I do something different with my blog, I cross my fingers and hope I don’t screw it up. Mine is still on Blogger but I have my own domain. I’ve been lucky to have had very few glitches.

    • Blogger seems to be pretty stable for most people. I’ve managed to fix the problem. Found the offending plug in and removed it.

  • Oh, we hate to see “Stressed Babs” doodle! All I can say is better you than me. You’re a very patient person and I am not. I would have thrown in the towel. Things look really good here, but I haven’t poked around too much. Careful with the plug-ins, my dear. One at a time. One at a time.

    • I de-activated them all, and then activated one at a time. Found the culprit and they all seem OK now. I just have to re-create one of my photo albums and I’m done 😉

  • As of now it looks great. And looking on facebook I see you are sick. 🙁 OH NO! When it rains it pours! At least you were all good for the wedding. I hope you get better SOON SOON SOON and are able to get back to posting. But in the meantime rest, relax, take care of yourself and we will be here when you are ready!

    • I am very grateful that all of the guests were fit and healthy for the wedding, which made it the day it was.
I’m glad you like the blog. I was unsure about the new design and colours.

  • You don’t show up in my reader anymore. This post never showed. Bugger.

    Have a fabulous day. ???

    • I had a slight hiccup with my feed, maybe you need a new link? I guessed something was wrong, because I don’t think anyone saw this post.
