What’s with all the Peeps?

You may, or may not know (or remember), that after Kathy’s first meet up with us, in the UK, I received a package full of naughty, but tasty, American treats. In that box were lots of Peeps, of different flavours and colours. I adore marshmallow, so they were more than welcome and I ploughed my way through them easily.  My favourites were the chocolate flavoured Peeps. I could have happily eaten a bucket full of those, so I’m glad that Kathy didn’t send a bucket full!

The other day, on Facebook, Jen tagged both Kathy and I in a photo of a human dressed as a Peep. Jen said she thought of us, when she saw him.

Today, while out shopping, I spotted these and immediately shouted to Mo, “Peeps!” I know they are not exactly Peeps, but it reminded me of them. Now I expect I shall be dreaming of peeps.

It’s a jolly good job they don’t sell them in the UK, because all my hard work and weight loss, would soon be ruined. I’d probably gain more weight than I’ve lost.

Peeps Feet

Is it a Peep?

slippers

No! It’s a feet warmer.

These are huge! I guess you put both feet in one. You surely couldn’t walk in them!

Those are hilarious!! And as I said on FB, Jack would have ADORED them! We’d never have been able to find the pair if we’d bought them as slippers. And I’ve have loved to see him carry one of those out to the garden and back in again on one of his pee trips!

    • I could just imagine that a dog would like to carry these about. Some would take great pleasure in tearing it apart too. They sold different animals and colours, but this one stood out for me.

Some would, for sure. Jack never destroyed anything, bless his heart. I still have his toys… I’m sentimental like that.

        • We still have the little fish (that hung from a stick) Livvie played with. They are about 20 years old and every time we look at them we see Livvie playing with them 🙂

          • We still favorite toys from past kitties and it always brings back memories.

          • It’s like keeping a little bit of them with us 🙂

  • ReformingGeek

Haha! So cute. Cat would love the soft and cushy….or the fowl it represents! Congrats on your weight loss. May you remain peep-free, at least for now.

    • With Christmas on the horizon, I think I may gain a bit of weight again 🙂

  • I missed the peeps somehow. You like those things? You’re talking about the yellow marshmallow peeps right. You like them? I have never known anyone that did. You’re my first.

    Have a fabulous day. 🙂

    • Yes, I like them, but the chocolate Peeps are the best!

  • Ron

Babs, even though I’m not a Peep (candy) lover, those Big Foot Warmers are absolutely ADORABLE because I love ducks. And they look so cozy and warm! OMG…they are so cute!

    X to you and Mo!

    • Aren’t they? If it wasn’t for the fact that my feet don’t get cold, I would have bought one. They are sweet 🙂

  • You and my sister. You can have all my Peeps! I love marshmallow but Peeps make my teeth feel funny. 🙂

    • I have to admit to only eating one or two each day, and I did have an slight allergic reaction to the purple Peeps. The chocolate were delicious though 🙂
