I know it’s been a while since I posted here, but I will try to post more often.
I went out today as it was a lovely warm day. At least it was for us in the UK. These are a few photos I took of the ducks. I was amazed that they let me go right up close and photograph them. Well, not those in the water :O)

Those ARE tame ducks, wow. The ones at the river by the university here wouldn’t let me that close. These are great shots, and I especially want to reach my hand into the water, so silky.
Glad to see you back!

Those ducks look far too comfy enjoying this lovely weather to let even your camera disturb them!

oh you got some awesome shots too!! I got a close up of one of ours like you have in the last photo but didn’t post it. Wow I love the duck in the 3rd picture and don;t know what kind he is.
Walter’s out right now yet again adding even more fencing to some other areas. We lost another of our really nice male Muskogees’ to the ever roaming mountain lion around here.
Our neighbors saw him just casually lying up on a limb in a tree in their backyard munching away.
He is a very dangerous cat and needs to be gotten rid of. He has lost all fear of people and attacked one of my cats once on my front porch.
I don’t like to see any wild life harmed. But, this is a big cat and we are all getting concerned about small children and such.
The game wardens won’t do anything about him. So everyone in this area is trying their best to get him before he starts attacking humans.
Well that’s enough of that!! Great shots!!

Shinade: No wonder you carry a shotgun! Whatever is a Muskogees or Muskogee?

Wow!… I just discovered your site. I love the ripples and the composition of the first two photos. The level of detail on the 3rd and 4th photos are really nice, too.
Excellent Job!

Very nice photos.
The mallard duck almost look like a decoy.
The capture of the water in the first photo is so perfect.
Have a very nice day

Hi Babs, back again! Sorry I’m giving you the eeby geebies! Knowing Boris is somewhere about here freaks me out too. Even if I wanted to kill him (which I don’t because he has a right to live, even though he grosses me out) I can’t get near enough to do so, or to do the glass and card thing to put him outside! I used to have a bug catcher on a long handle but it broke. So, I’m trying to deal with the situation by kinda anthropomorphising (sp?!) him. Not sure if it’s working…
Seeing your photos again… Wow, I’m in awe! They are so beautiful and I see more and more. Looking at them draws me in, takes me right there. I hope your book will have photos!

WEll, you know, my mom likes ladybugs too. A long long time ago, she got a little ladybug tattoo on her tummy……it was a long long time ago….and now it will be with her a long long time.
By the way, you made my mom laugh out loud so hard with the Alice in Wonderland potion comment…..don’t know why, it just hit her funnybone. I was upstairs looking downstairs through the iron railing in that odd picture.

Oh, they are beautiful! I do love ducks, especially when they sleep with their heads tucked under their wing. These ducks (husband and wife?) must’ve known you meant no harm. They actually look rather pleased to be photographed!
