There is a little village, just up the road from us, called Bolsterstone.  It’s a beautiful old village, and as luck would have it rather fitting for this weeks Ruby Tuesday.

This is the Village Hall.  A lovely building, spoiled only by the ridiculously placed cable – workmen!

Below is the beautiful church.  The whole village is unspoiled, and the houses are built with the same old brick, including the fantastic pub!

We managed to bring our Poinsettia back to full health, and all we did was move it to the kitchen and place it on the window sill.

Mo and I went out for a Christmas meal with our church the other night.  From there we went on to a ‘Beauty and the Beast’ pantomime. There must have been at least seventy of us.  It was a great night out.  I had ‘Fruits of the forest’ cheesecake for dessert and think it makes a good Ruby Tuesday post.

Better late than never!

I have been so busy with Mo’s birthday and Christmas decorations that I haven’t had time to take pictures.  I’m sorry I haven’t updated this blog as often as I should have, but here’s a Ruby Tuesday shot I took today especially :O)

This is our Christmas Poinsettia.  We get one every year, but sadly they seldom last!   I don’t know the secret of a hardy Poinsettia.  Some leaves have already dropped and we only got it a few days ago.

The photos are not good quality.  It has been such a dark, miserable day today that even though it was only 2pm when I took these, and I carried it right to the window, the automatic flash still went off!

Still, it’s a good subject for Ruby Tuesday I thought.

This time I have posted photos of my electric guitar for Ruby Tuesday.  I went to post this last week but had to change it for an autumn photo, and ended up with the title ‘Electric Guitar’ and a photo of a tree!  I’m sorry for any confusion caused ;O)  I love the sparkle of sunlight on the second photo.

For Ruby Tuesday this week I’m posting a photo of a tree I took on our walk last week. There were some beautiful colour trees that I saw while we were driving along.  Unfortunately we couldn’t stop for me to get a photograph.  This is the only ‘red’ tree I managed to photograph.

Can I get away with this for Ruby Tuesday?

I know it’s not really red but Mo and I went for a day out, at some of our local beauty spots, on Sunday.  It was such a lovely sunny day and I took over 100 photographs!  This little duck had a bad leg and allowed me to get up really close for some macro shots.  For more fun photos of the ducks see this post.

I thought I would post some of the best photos over the next little while.  They may not always be in keeping with the theme of the day, but I hope you will still find them worth viewing.

We popped to the local supermarket on Sunday, and I just had to take this photo. It was an obvious Ruby Tuesday post.  I’m so glad that they didn’t get rid of our red pillar boxes as they did our red telephone boxes.

This is a photo of our lounge when the plumbers were installing our central heating.  This was the tidy room, would you believe?  The requirement was just a little red this week.
