This is a painting I did last year. I like the center one with the yellow in it best. Yellow is my favourite colour at the moment.

I took this photo on New Years day. It was a really frosty day, with a little mist, so we went out to get some photos. I took the photo of this farmhouse especially for Sepia Scenes.
I played around with filters in Photoshop to get this effect so I posted the original photo for you to see the actual view.
The original shot.
Drowsey Monkey has started a new meme called Mellow Yellow Monday. The idea is to post photos that include some yellow. Here is my first mellow yellow post.
This was a game we played over Christmas. I don’t know what it was called but it was like Pictionary, but instead of drawing you made models using Playdoh. It was a hilarious game! Each time you lost, you had a wadge of your Playdoh removed. The team who ended up with a pea-sized piece lost the game!

I don’t know if I’m late posting this – I probably am :O) This was taken with my old camera last year but I thought these lambs looked cute in sepia. I can’t tell you how I achieved the sepia, as I did this a while back. After I turned it sepia in Photoshop, I made a layer and used ‘Screen’ to make it bleach out. I then erase all but a few patches of the screen layer.

As always, just click on the logo above for more lovely Sepia Scenes.
There is a little village, just up the road from us, called Bolsterstone. It’s a beautiful old village, and as luck would have it rather fitting for this weeks Ruby Tuesday.
This is the Village Hall. A lovely building, spoiled only by the ridiculously placed cable – workmen!

Specially for Ruby Tuesday – the sign.

Below is the beautiful church. The whole village is unspoiled, and the houses are built with the same old brick, including the fantastic pub!

I know I have been a bit slack lately regarding my posting. The Christmas holiday has kept me very busy with other stuff and I missed my ‘Sepia’ shot again this week. I think I will be forgiven when you see what I have been busy doing. I got my new camera for Christmas and we have had the most glorious frosty weather, so today Mo and I went out so I could take photos with my new camera.
We went to one of our favourite spots and what we saw took our breath away! Unlike snow, that leaves a covering of white over everything, frost makes everything white all over. There was also a light fog which just made everything look really lovely. Just look at these photos.
When we first arrived it was very weird and I was disorientated. It took me a while to see things as they really were.

The little black square that looks like it’s floating in air, in the photo above, is the water level marker. As I got closer and changed my view, it became clearer and I was in total awe. The water was so still it looked like glass.
I can’t believe that these photos just came straight off my camera, and I didn’t need to even open Photoshop! I took a lot more photos that I will be posting at some time.
I think I am pleased with my new camera :O)
I got to post a Sepia Scenes photo today. It isn’t the one I intended posting because the one I had in mind isn’t quite ready. I’ll post that one next week.
I’m afraid I can’t say how I achieved this one because I did it a couple of weeks ago and I can’t remember now. I posted the original shot also. It was taken this summer while tucking into a lovely picnic. I couldn’t resist taking a photo of such a beautiful oak tree.

We managed to bring our Poinsettia back to full health, and all we did was move it to the kitchen and place it on the window sill.
I thought it deserved another showing on Ruby Tuesday!

Mo and I went out for a Christmas meal with our church the other night. From there we went on to a ‘Beauty and the Beast’ pantomime. There must have been at least seventy of us. It was a great night out. I had ‘Fruits of the forest’ cheesecake for dessert and think it makes a good Ruby Tuesday post.

This is an old photo, turning sepia through age. I have reversed the process of the meme for this post.
It’s a photograph of my parents wedding. You can see how badly damaged it is. I can’t imagine how it got in that state. Somebody had stuck it to a piece of paper and tried to draw in the parts that were missing. I decided it was worth trying to salvage, so I scanned it in to Photoshop and went to work.
Here you see the original photograph, and below is the photograph after working in Photoshop. They are both enlargeable if you click them.
